How does it work?
Before getting your first Advanced acne treatment, you get a preparatory session.
It is an important step, as this is an intensive treatment, therefore we must prepare the skin to receive it to avoid skin burns and post inflammatory complications.
This preparatory peeling is 20% made of salicylic acid therefore, you will already be seeing results after this session.
Salicylic Acid is a beta-hydroxy acid that aids acne prone skin and rosacea skin types. Salicylic acid is a beta-hydroxy acid (BHA) with a powerful keratolytic, comedolytic, anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial effect. It enables the breakdown of the intercellular cement, reducing the adhesion of corneocytes and encouraging superficial skin restructuring without producing inflammatory infiltration. Moreover, because of its lipophilicity, it easily penetrates the pilosebaceous ducts, controlling sebaceous secretion. Our Salicylic Acid peels are suitable for all skin types, particularly dry skins, those with a tendency to hyperkeratinisation and oily, acne prone, comedonegic and/or seborrhoeic skins. Most of the time, this step can be achieved during your consultation session.
Two weeks after we have done the preparation session, we can start the Advanced acne treatment. Our main ingredient, the Acnelan is a strong ingredient, it gives quick results but need the proper preparation and the respect of the interval between session to be the most effective!
First, an ultra-concentrated descaling gel peel with predominantly keratolytic and antimicrobial properties is applied to your skin.
This mask deep cleanses your pores of impurities. It contains a unique combination of active substances, which work together to remove excess oil and bacteria, reduce inflammation and exfoliate.
Once exposure time is up your therapist will spray some post-peel neutralizing spray to soften the acne multifactor mask, balancing and soothing the skin with gentle Aloe Vera.
A microfiber mask is then applied to enhance the cell renewal process, restructure the hydrolipidic film and increase the skin’s moisture levels.
Finally, she will apply the Pore sealing shield, a gel that acts as a protective shield to prolong and maintain the effects of the active ingredients applied during treatment, while it soothes and tightens the pores.
